Pupil Ambassadors
We have a range of partnerships including Bee Active, ASM Sports, Keele University, City Music and The Ogden Trust to name a few. This enables us to deliver a curriculum where children can participate in a range of sporting events including athletics, play musical instruments and perform across the city, discover how science influences the world around us and begin to understand their future Science, Technology, Engineering and mathematical careers. We always have success with sporting events and are known for our annual performances. Across all areas of learning we aim to foster a love of learning and enable talents to flourish.
We also aim to provide opportunities for tangible leadership and responsibility. It is not enough to have a title but to play an active role within our school community. An example of this is our Magic Breakfast leads who gained their food hygiene qualification and now arrive early each morning to provide a breakfast for all 560 pupils in the school. Another example is our pupil site team who help to maintain the site across the school. This builds an element of trust between staff and pupils. It is our intention that all leadership roles influence the child’s future career and life choices.
