Meet Trevor!! We all love him and care for him here at HSL. 🐢
He is our 16 year old Horsefield Tortoise and is our school pet.

His favourite food is little gem lettuce. 🥬🥬

The children love visiting him in school where he basks under his heat lamp.

We learned lots of facts about tortoises in an assembly:
🐢They are reptiles
🐢They can live for up to 100 years
🐢They are herbivores
🐢Their hard outer shell is an exoskeleton
